Mechanical Winch

The objective of this project was to use design, build, and test a prototype of a mechanical winch lifting mechanism needed to lift a heavy weight up three flors and model it using NetLogo. I designed the winch and helped build and test it. Through this project, I learned how to effectively use sketches to plan a solution as well as how to improve upon them. Some challenges I faced during this project included designing a prototype that utilized limited VEX parts due to limited resources and ensuring that the string on our pulley remained in place. Another issue I dealt with in this project was multiple faulty wires while connecting the prototype to the Fishertechnik interface.
